When you lose your job, you may be doubly burdened by losing your health coverage. Fortunately, even if you don’t have health insurance, your children may be able to have access to free and low-cost health care.

Insure Kids Now! is a campaign to make sure that uninsured children in the US — from birth to age 18 — have access to free and low-cost health insurance. Many families simply don’t realize their children are eligible.

States have different eligibility rules, but in most cases, uninsured children under the age of 19 in families earning less than $44,100* a year are eligible. For little to no cost, this insurance pays for doctor visits, immunizations, hospitalizations and emergency room visits.

Learn more about your health insurance options, health care costs, eligibility and how to apply.
